SBTET Revaluation, Recounting & Instant Supplementary Examination Rules
Following the declaration of diploma semester results by SBTET Telangana, students who are dissatisfied with their awarded marks or who have uncleared backlogs can utilize board revaluation, recounting, and supplementary exam provisions.
Recounting involves verifying the mathematical summation of marks across all question sections in the answer booklet and ensuring that no answer was left unvalued. It does not involve re-evaluating the quality of answers.
Revaluation entails a comprehensive re-assessment of the entire answer script by a fresh examiner appointed by the board.
If the marks obtained in revaluation vary by more than the board-specified threshold (typically +5 marks or a grade upgrade), the revised marks are adopted and a corrected memo is issued.
Applications for revaluation and recounting are accepted strictly online through the official SBTET student services portal within 7 to 10 days of results declaration.
Students must enter their PIN, select the specific subjects for revaluation, verify the displayed subject codes, and complete fee payment through net banking, UPI, or debit card.
Late applications are rejected automatically once the board payment link expires.
Students can apply to receive a scanned digital photocopy of their evaluated answer script by paying the prescribed fee. This enables candidates and their subject teachers to review evaluation accuracy before applying for revaluation.
SBTET conducts Instant Supplementary Examinations for final-year students (6th semester) who have a limited number of remaining backlogs (typically 1 or 2 subjects from final year) to prevent loss of an academic year for B.Tech lateral entry admissions.
